KENTUCKY HOMELESS MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (HMIS)


            

Louisville CoC is part of a state-wide Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) implementation, called Kentucky HMIS. KYHMIS is managed by the Kentucky Housing Corp. in Frankfort, KY and uses Servicepoint 5 software. The Coalition for the Homeless administers the HMIS project in the Louisville Metro area. Louisville homeless reports are located on the Publications page of this site. Louisville data is used in the national AHAR report.

           

SUPPORT:

       

Submit all help requests by sending email to the Coalition's HMIS HELPDESK at kyhmis@louhomeless.org. HMIS support outside of the Louisville CoC is provided by Kentucky Housing Corp. in Frankfort (email kyhmis@kyhousing.org or call 800-633-8896 Ext. 446).

      

LOUISVILLE TRAINING:

            

ART reports, February 16th,  9:00am -11:00am, Metro United Way

ART reports, February 23rd,  9:00am -11:00am, Metro United Way

HMIS Data entry, February 28th, 9:00am -12:00pm, location TBA

             

To register for HMIS training, send email to kyhmis@louhomeless.org. Tell us who you are, which agency you work for and what type of training you need. We will send you the training details by email. You may also call us at 502-636-9550.

REPORTS:

         

Data quality reports need to be submitted to Coalition 1 week after the Point in Time dates. 2011 PIT dates are:

        

January 26th

April 27th

July 27th

October 26th

       

Coalition will send out email specifying the type of DQ report to submit and the report start/end dates.  

      

KYHMIS MEETINGS:

     

KYHMIS is governed by the KY Interagency Council on Homelessness (KICH). KICH has a Data subcommittee which deals with HMIS issues. The meetings take place on third Tuesday, every other month, in Frankfort, KY. The meetings are announced by email and take place at the Kentucky Housing Corp main office. Contact Roman if you would like to attend.
